Saturday saw East Coast Ladies 1XI play at home against Broadlands 1, who were sitting just below them in the table.

East Coast were determined to maintain their positive performances from the last few weeks, they put the pressure on at the start and were able to win a couple of early short corners however Broadland defended these well.
Jess and Jenn had some great linking play passing around the defenders into the attacking D resulting in Jenn slipping the ball past the keeper to score the first goal of the match.
Broadland were quick on the break and East Coast were caught out a couple of times, however were able to keep the ball out of the goal.

East Coast set a good press at a Broadland free hit, Jess intercepted the ball which led to a one on one with the goalie and scored the second goal of the match.
After some pressure from East Coast in the attacking D a penalty flick was awarded to East Coast, Katy took the flick and scored the third goal.

In the second half East Coast had some good linking play which enabled them to capatalise on their lead and scored another goal. Broadland also secured a couple of short corners in the second half however East Coast defense kept their composure and kept a clean sheet.

A strong team performance led to a 4-0 win pushing East Coast further up the table.
